AUDITION INFORMATION

 

Our 2025 audition dates are as follows:​

• Sunday 26th January 2025 - FULLY BOOKED​

• Sunday 9th February 2025 - LIMITED SPACES​

​

If you cannot make any of these dates, but would like to audition, please contact us to enquire about a private audition.

​

Candidates must submit an application form, which will be emailed to you upon enquiry. An audition fee of £35 is also payable at the time the application is submitted. If you are planning on attending one of our auditions for a place at KLDC Sixth, we hope that you will find the information below useful.

THE AUDITION DAY 

​

Candidates will have the choice to prepare, either: 

• two contrasting songs (musical theatre or pop repertoire) and one contemporary monologue; 

• two contrasting monologues (any style) and one song (musical theatre or pop repertoire); or  

• one song (musical theatre or pop repertoire), one contemporary monologue and one dance solo (any genre, not exceeding 2 mins).

The day typically begins with:

• registration and welcome

• an introduction from the team and outline of the KLDC Sixth experience

 

Candidates will then undertake:

• a physical warm-up followed by either a dance class or a musical theatre workshop

• a private audition - this will include a brief, informal interview with Kahli, the Principal and Ben, the Vice Principal (Operations) before presenting your prepared audition material; please bring edited sheet music or backing tracks for songs

FEEDBACK TO CANDIDATES

​

All candidates will be sent a formal letter to let them know whether they have been successful.

 

Successful audition candidates will need to complete a registration form, which must be returned together with the enrolment deposit and a letter from their GP confirming fitness for training.

ACCESSIBILITY

​

KLDC Sixth promotes individuality and diversity; all candidates are welcome to audition. 

 

KLDC Sixth will do whatever it can to accommodate the access arrangements and support needed by any disabled candidate who is accepted onto the course. Our venue is fully accessible to wheelchair/scooter users or those with mobility impairments and all studios are on the ground floor.
